The Joint Programme (JP) to strengthen social protection system in STP in joint implementation with UNICEF, ILO, UNDP and WHO is looking for an International Communications Consultant to support the design, brand and layout of communication and outreach materials, to increase the visibility of the JP.
Specific tasks:
Under the supervision of the JP’s Programme Coordinator and in close interaction with the JP’ participating agencies (ILO, UNDP, OMS, UNICEF), the consultant will be responsible of using their expertise and state of the art software and hardware to provide design services and produce high quality products according to UNICEF needs, including:
- Designing brochures, newsletters, fact sheets, briefing notes, and other such publications to support the JP to communicate their expected goals and potential in the most effective and compelling way;
- Design infographics, data visualization and fact graphs for print and/or digital platforms, and UN agencies intranet and social media platforms (Facebook; Twitter; Instagram) to raise awareness on the importance of the JP to expand the social protection system and provide access to vulnerable families to basic services and social protection schemes.
- Design and layout PowerPoint presentations, as requested.
- Identification of innovative communication channels to deliver the messages using communication means and tools that are fit for purpose and adapted to the target groups
- Source quality and suitable photo and videos from the UN agencies communications focal points to develop content
- Develop videos and spots for the national TV and Radio
- Produce texts, blogs, and audio-visual messages on human-interest stories, based on key achievements and implementation of JP to showcase the results achieved and the expected results to beneficiaries and donors.
Duration of the assignment:
Three months, extendable depending on performance, project needs and budget availability
Type of contract and Remuneration
Payment will only be made for work satisfactorily completed and accepted by UNICEF. Please note that as this is a mission to be carried remotely, UNICEF does not cover travel costs or offer office space. Progress will be measured with the focal point through regular meetings.
